Developer Laura Garcia asked Meshberg Group to combine two separate, dark units in the iconic 174 Kent Avenue waterfront building into a single cohesive home for her growing family — a project that required both architectural reconfiguration and a deeply personal design sensibility.

Meshberg Group combined two separate dark units in an iconic 174 Kent Ave Brooklyn waterfront building into a light filled, custom 2,000 square foot 3 bedroom apartment for developer Laura Garcia’s own growing family.

Meshberg Group merged the two units into a light-filled, 2,000-square-foot three-bedroom residence with an open, considered plan oriented toward the waterfront. Every detail was thought through with the family’s daily life in mind — balancing warmth, function, and a refined material palette that transforms a renovation into a true sanctuary. The project was featured in Interior Design Magazine.
